'Diary' reveals too much and not enough

Diary of a What?
I'm not a big fan of chick-lit, though every once in a while I'll pick up something from that genre. I usually regret it. (There are a few notable exceptions -- see the lad-lit books written by Dan Graziano, for one). "Diary of a Married Call Girl" caught my eye because I used to read Tracy Quan's column on Salon.com many years ago.
